What is pomodoro? How the technique works

The pomodoro technique is a simple time-management method: work in a focused 25-minute sprint (one "pomodoro"), then take a 5-minute break. The fixed rhythm keeps starting easy and makes distractions wait their turn. With this pomodoro timer, give any task planned minutes and it counts down and rings when time is up — 25 on Focus and 5 on Break is the classic cycle, but the tasks are yours to rename, delete and add to.

A study timer that shows your day

The pomodoro study method works because a session has a clear start and end — and a visible score. Add a task per subject or assignment, run each study sprint against it, and the time analysis shows exactly where your hours went, today and all-time. Use the ⛶ button for a distraction-free full screen countdown timer while you study; the clean node-and-edge canvas keeps the timer aesthetic and calm rather than busy. Everything runs entirely in your browser — no account, no tracking; your tasks, tracked time and settings are stored locally on your device.
